Ionic Breeze review

Surveys have found that the Ionic Breeze offers the best value for money, and is the most trusted brand.
Numerous online Ionic Breeze reviews support this opinion.

So what is it about the Ionic Breeze that makes it so popular?

In this review we will list several reasons, but let’s first see how the basic version of the Ionic Breeze, the Quadra, works.

The Ionic Breeze is an electrostatic precipitator type – it draws polluted air in, charges the pollutants with a powerful electrical field, and then traps them with oppositely charged collection blades. These charged particles will stick to the blades until wiped off by the user.

The more expensive model, the Ionic Breeze GP, includes a germicidal UV lamp, which eliminates viruses, bacteria and other micro organisms. If there is one recommendation we would like to make in our review of the Ionic Breeze range, then it is to buy the GP, because it is clearly the more versatile model.

Both models generate trace amounts of ozone which is well known for it’s ability to remove smoke and odors.

The biggest advantages to note are related to the fact that no mechanical filters are required:

  • No expensive filters to be replaced.
  • Both models reviewed need minimal energy to run, because no powerful motor is required to move the air through the filter – this translates in a much lower energy bill.
  • Silent operation - the Ionic Breeze uses a proprietary technology that works by using electrostatic forces to move air molecules and is totally silent.
  • Low electricity requirement.
  • The unit can clean a 500 square feet area, about the size of one large room or two smaller rooms.

Elegant styling
Maybe not high on the list if you suffer from allergies, hayfever, or other breathing related problems, but many people reading this review will prefer an air purifier with elegant styling over a more clunky model.
And many will agree that the Ionic Breeze models looks good to the eye!
The Ionic Breeze is available in several colors: silver onyx, light gray, black satin, and burltech.

Having reviewed the Ionic Breeze, we can't help but notice that there are many things to recommend this air purifier. At around $350 it outclasses many air purifiers in the same price range.

At the time of writing our review, two new models were released, called the Professional Series.

Our Ionic Breeze review found the following improvements the most notable:

  • A new collector blade system improves the rate at which airborne particles are captured, so the air is cleaned faster. The unit’s capacity is still pretty much 500 square feet though.
  • Removable front and rear grills which makes it easy to clean both the grills and the interior of the air cleaner.
  • An optional Negative-Ion generator to freshen the air.
