New Sharper Image Ionic Breeze Model - Professional Series Released

The Sharper Image Ionic Breeze, one of the leading air purifier brands on the market, have been further improved with the Professional Series.

The Sharper Image Ionic Breeze is predominantly an electrostatic precipitator type air purifier. The way an electrostatic precipitator works, is that it electrically charges the particulates as they pass through a powerful electric field, and then these "charged" particles are attracted to oppositely charged collector plates.

The more expensive model, the Sharper Image Ionic Breeze GP, includes a germicidal UV lamp, which eliminates viruses, bacteria and other micro organisms, making it a more versatile air purifier than it’s simpler and cheaper brother, the Quadra.

The main differences between the Professional Series, and the previous Sharper Image Ionic Breeze models are:

• A new collector blade system improves the rate at which airborne particles are captured, so the air is cleaned faster. The unit’s capacity is still pretty much 500 square feet though.
• Removable front and rear grills which makes it easy to clean both the grills and the interior of the air cleaner.
• An optional Negative-Ion generator to freshen the air.

The new Sharper Image Ionic Breeze models sell at the same price, with the older Sharper Image Ionic Breeze models being discounted by $50.
