The Ionic Breeze Quadra has been around for while and has proven to be a successful product. The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America even awarded a Consumer Product Seal to the Ionic Breeze Quadra and GP purifiers because they are “proven to reduce airborne allergens and irritants including dust mite allergen, pet dander and cigarette smoke”.

And now the Sharper Image has release an improved version of this popular air purifier, the Professional Series Ionic Breeze Quadra Silent Air Purifier. Quite a mouthful, and makes you wonder is it really so professional?

• Silent operation – no noisy fans to keep you awake.
• No hassle of replacing expensive filters.
• Continuous operation – recommended as indoor air pollution rapidly returns to the old levels when an air purifier is turned off.
• Low electricity requirements – 10 watts.
• Effective at cleaning pollutants larger than 1 micron in a 500 square feet area – removes larger bacteria, pollen, cat dander and similar allergens.

The Professional Series Ionic Breeze Quadra model has several improvements:

• A new collector blade system greatly improves the rate at which airborne particles are captured, so that you get cleaner air faster. The capacity is still pretty much 500 square feet though.
• Now also has the GP’s five minute boost feature – very handy to quickly remove pollutants or odors.
• Removable front and rear grills which allows makes it easy to clean both the grills and the interior of the air cleaner.
• An optional Negative-Ion generator to freshen the air.

The new Ionic Breeze Quadra uses slightly more electricity - 12 versus 10 watts for the old model.
